In 1858, Our Lady appeared to a young shepherd girl named Bernadette in Lourdes, France a total of eighteen times. After instructing Bernadette to drink from the mucky grotto water, it immediately turned pure and was drinkable. To this day it’s a popular site of miraculous healing. She proclaimed to Bernadette in her native tongue, “Que soy era Immaculata Concepciou” or “I am the Immaculate Conception”
